Heritage

My family is from many places from all over the world. But from my grandpa’s side we are from England. My ancestor Soul came over to have a new life. He came over as the first indentured servant ever. He did not have enough money to pay for his whole trip so he became an indentured servant.(indentured servant is a servant who has a dept to you o while your master paid for his trip he would pay it off as being his servant). Soul came over on the Mayflower when he first came over he decided that his last name was not fit to belong to this wonderful land so he changed it to Manausa which means “Man Of Usa”. He decided this when he got married to a woman who had also came over on the Mayflower but not as a servant. She was able to pay for her whole trip thanks to her father. They met in a settlement where the Mayflower first landed, this means that they took part in the first thanksgiving with the wampanoag indians. But they were lucky enough to survive the winters to come after that since most colonist died in the first few winters. I  don’t know much after this but I hope you enjoyed reading about my heritage. 🙂
